If you look closely, you can see that the carpet is laid in squares rather than one large roll laid from end to end.
The main reason for this is to allow for removing a square of the carpet that is stained or an entire patch of carpet that has been beaten down without removing the entire area of carpet.
Until recently, carpet squares were not often pitched to residential clients, but in recent years they have become a more popular option for homeowners.
Unfortunately, this is often necessary for just a few small areas of the house that have stains or have been highly trafficked.
If you go with carpet squares instead, you can help to add onto the overall life of the carpet, only replacing the areas that have been badly damaged during the tenants time there.
Carpet squares and indoor pets if you have indoor pets in your home, you know that there is a good likelihood you will have more dirt and grime brought into the house.
This is especially true of dogs that come in and out on a regular basis.
There may be a particular door and room that the dogs normally enter when coming inside.
The area nearby the door may see a great deal of wear and tear, but the rest of the rooms carpet may remain nice and neat.
Carpet mobility if you have decided to install or carpet overtop of or in an area of your home, you may want to consider simply installing carpet squares.
This will keep you from ruining the perfectly good flooring already in place, but will allow you to create the look that you want.
When you move out of the home, you can simply pack the carpet squares up into a box and take them with you, leaving the floor as it was previously.
You may also want to consider this if you move frequently and have created a look in a room that you would like to maintain from house to house.
You can create the look of a square patterned rug but at a fraction of the cost.
Each individual square can also be changed out if you have a bad stain, whereas with a rug, you are stuck with that stain if it does not come out!
